All of our books are donated, and 99% of those donated books are written in English. Yet, over 50% of the population The Free Books Project primarily serves is bilingual or Spanish-speaking. Will you help us do a better job of serving our communities by donating books in Spanish? As your friends, family, church, and even coworkers to do the same. This Saturday, Oct. 14, we’re back with another Events at The Free Books Place. Come join talented, passionate, and kind members of our community for some creativity and relaxation. Poet and community organizer Reet Starwind will lead an All Ages Poetry Cafe followed by an Art Meditation led by mixed media artists Nadine LaFond of Art Lives Studio and Kayla Simone of Kay Soul. Back-to-school time is such an active time, especially for all of our eager readers out there. We were lucky enough to greet students Pre-K through 5th grade at Forest Hills Elementary School yesterday. The Super Blue Moon is upon us. It will rise just after sunset today at 7:10 PM EDT and will set tomorrow morning just before the sun rise.
